Whoa. Neglected this thing much? Much. I've been busy with this thing called life, forgive me. Everytime I think I'm back for good, something throws a monkey wrench in my plans. Which isn't bad but sucks for this bloggy! :( Quick update with what's been up with me as of late, before I go get off this thing and get ready for the Colts to play later.
+ I got a new job, back in DC that's pretty awesome. It's close to where the 3 of my bestests work so I have a different lunch date everyday -giggles- I love it. I definitely couldn't do that when I worked in lameo Virginia. And it pays a whole lot more, which is a plus. AND I get to travel. Not sure how that'll work with school and stuffs but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Possibly going to Florida in October, that'll be a nifty early birthday present.
+/- School started a few weeks ago, and it's been quite hectic. Buttloads of money on books and supplies, but when I think I only have 2 semesters ... to go it's all worth it. But it's pretty hard doing it all by myself. Miss Independent, heh.
Those are the two biggest things that have happened, and they've been taking up a lot of my time. SO much time in fact, I haven't taken a picture in ages. Yes I know it's shocking. But that's that. I had a shoot scheduled for this weekend but "Hurricane Hannah" or whatever it turned out to be rained on the parade, literally. So the weekend has been crawling by lazily. Spent most of the rainy Saturday reading my book of the week. It's called Choke by Chuck Palahniuk. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite modern day fiction writers. Satirical horror stories - his writing style is definitely amazing. If I wanted to be a writer, I'd want to be just like him. :) Aceface likes him too, we're his groupies. You guys should check him out!
Eventually the rain stopped and D and I ended up going to this music club for an emcee battle thingie. It was so interesting to see what people responded to ... the person with the best lyrical content didn't always win ... people just reacted to punchlines. Which is so sad punchlines can only get you so far. On the plus side, there was an emcee there that reminded me of Common :x he was my favorite, and he won. Ohhhh yeahhh.
I've been lazy all day today ... it's gorgeous out but I've had to study and what not. In between OD'ing on Law & Order and CSI. I've been SO busy I've had SO many episodes piled up, I'm trying to catch up! It's a ridiculous amount though, I doubt I ever will. Well, I'm off to go attempt to -jams to JB- they're my new guilty pleasure, and so cute to boot.
